Opportunity knocks at your door, this time to be a part of one of the greatest adventure extravaganzas being held in the most soothing and serene ambience the nature can offer, through the silence of the woods and the sanctity of the forest, to ride along the ripples and jiggles of the waters of one of the most beautiful tourist destinations of the world "KERALA".

For the first time ever, God's Own Country is getting set to host a National level cycling event involving renowned and professional riders from across the length & breadth of the country. A few riders from the Australian Continent and from other parts of the world have also confirmed their participation, giving the event an international feel and style. And yes, the event is sure to stand out in the crowd with its professional execution and coordination.

The wait is over..!! The track is ready, the backstage is getting set and the nature beckons you to the lush greenery of Pathanamthitta, the cleanest and the least polluted village in the whole country as certified by the Pollution Control Board of India.

Objectives

Aiming at promotion of Tourism and the importance of maintaining one's health, this event also spreads its goodness message about saving our mother Earth and conservation of forests. This shall also provide a gateway for organizing more of National level cycling events in our State for its most ideal climatic and geographic conditions for such events.

Who does it?

The event is being organized and executed by one of the veteran operators in this field, "Santos King", which is based in Kochi. They have the rich experience of having conducted various cycle tours within Kerala and parts of South India, and are well versed with tackling the complexities and formalities associated with such events. This is the first ever National level event of this team, and is expected to create waves in the general public and youth population of Kerala.

Cycling Clubs, Cycle lovers, School/College Students, IT Companies, various departments of Kerala State Government, especially Tourism & Sports.

& What More?

There is also an 11-day exotic cycling tour package "Flavors of Kerala" being planned through the major tourist locations of the state, connecting the most adventurous landscapes and mountain sides.

Itinerary:
27 Sep: Arrival Kochi
Pick up from Kochi airport and transfer to hotel at Ranni Village. Overnight stay at Ranni.

28 Sep: Mountain Challenge; Sabarimala
Transfer to Perunadu (15 kms), to participate in the TDK Mountain Challenge, a 90 km Cyclothon in forest. Evening transfer to Gavi forest Camp area. Overnight stay in Tent.

29 Sep: Gavi, Thekkady
Early morning after bed coffee, trek inside forest, part of Periyar Tiger Reserve with an expert guide from Forest Department. Afternoon, we move to Thekkady, Overnight stay at Thekkady.

30 Sep: Thekkady - Munnar
7 am: Boating in Periyar Lake, 8 am: After breakfast, check out from hotel and ride to Munnar (100 kms), passing through Pepper, Cardamom, Coffee & Tea plantations. Overnight stay at Munnar.

01 Oct: Munnar - Marayoor
Another 80 kms of Munnar sightseeing Ride, which includes Kundala Lake, Top Station, Anaimudi Shola National Park, Kanthalloor & Marayur. Overnight stay at Marayur.

02 Oct: Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary
Start the ride early morning through Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, then proceed to Amaravathi Reservoir, Aliyar Dam and reach Valparai (120 kms). Overnight stay at Valaparai.

03 Oct: Valaparai - Vazhacahal - Athirapally
The routes on this day are mostly downhill through Sholayar Dam & Vazhachal-Athirappally waterfalls (115 Kms). Reach Kochi by evening.

04 Oct: Houseboat: Kumarakom - Alappuzha Backwaters
Morning transfer to houseboat at Kumarakom. This day is set aside for resting and relaxation. Houseboat cruise through beautiful backwaters of Kerala. Overnight stay in houseboat.

05 Oct: Marari Beach
Check out from the houseboat in the morning at Alappuzha and ride to Marari Beach, passing through Alappuzha local markets, streets & beach road (20 Kms). The rest of the day is free for you to relax in beach resort.

06 Oct: Marari Beach
Free through the whole day for leisure.

07 Oct: Kochi sightseeing, Departure
Check out from the resort after breakfast and drive to Kochi for a half day sightseeing. Transfer to Kochi airport in the afternoon.
