  Tour Itinerary:

  Day 1: Bagdogra Arrival; To Phuentsholing

Arrival in Bagdogra Airport. Meeting with our Bhutanese representative. Transfer to Phuentsholing (4 hours). On arrival in Phuentsholing, check-in to hotel. In the evening if time permits, take a stroll around Phuentsholing market. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

  Day 2: To Thimphu

After completing the Entry Permit formalities, proceed to Thimphu (180 kms, 6 hrs), the modern capital town of Bhutan. Enroute visit Kharbandi Gompa (4 kms from Phuentsholing), a beautiful monastery situated in garden of tropical plants and flowers. Near Thimphu, visit to Simotkha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the kingdom which now houses the School for religious and cultural studies. Drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in the memory of Bhutan's Third king who is popularly regarded as Father of Modern Bhutan. The paintings and statues inside this monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

  Day 3: In Thimphu

Morning drive to Kuensel Phodrang, locally named Buddha point with 51.5 metres Bronze statue of Buddha which is three storied with many chapels. Later drive to North Thimphu and 1 and a half hour hike to Cheri Monastery feeling the natures beauty at its best. Later visit Anim Dratshang (Nunnery). In the afternoon, if time permits, visit National Library, Handmade paper factory and Handicrafts emporium. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

  Day 4: To Punakha

Morning drive to the fascinating Punakha valley (75 kms, 2 1/2 hrs) with a short stop at Dochula pass (3100 m) that heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. Afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten or Chimmi Lhakhang. Overnight stay at Punakha.

  Day 5: To Paro

Morning drive to Paro (120 kms, 3 hrs). Visit to Drukgyel Dzong (Fortress / Monastery), the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasion by Tibetan armies. On a clear day, there is a splendid view of Mt. Chomolhari from the approach road to this Dzong. Later visit to Ta Dzong (National Museum) and walk down/ drive to the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, the fortress which has a long and fascinating history. Evening visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight stay at Paro.

  Day 6: In Paro

Morning we will go for Tiger Nest Hike, the highlight of Bhutan Trip. It will be a 4-5 hours walk to Tigers Nest at around 3100 meters. Horse ride is also possible for interested guests. Later you can spend time in Paro town. Overnight stay at Paro.

  Day 7: To Phuentsholing

Drive back to Phuentsholing with few stops on the way and visit Chukha Zangtopri Big Monastry of Monks school. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

  Day 8: To Bagdogra

Drive back to Bagdogra airport in Siliguri. See off with our team in Bhutan.
